One of the reasons that CBAN was founded five years ago was to promote the concept of community-focused broadband. We feel that consumers are best served by companies with roots in their communities and who treat customers as people and not just entries on a corporate balance sheet. ![]() ImOn Communications is one such provider, and was one of CBAN's first Provider Members. Two recent announcements by the eastern Iowa-based company show how it is committed to community service and customer experience excellence. Recently, ImOn announced that it is pledging to contribute $100,000 to non-profit organizations in and around Dubuque, Iowa - one of the markets it has expanded to from its original base in Cedar Rapids. The company has also announced it has launched free public Wi-Fi with the South of 6 business district in Iowa City as well as the Pepperwood Plaza. Hats off to ImOn for their community focus!
