One of the elements of the most recently passed COVID-19 relief bill was an appropriation of $3.2 billion for the "Emergency Broadband Benefit Program". te program will provide a monthly discount of up to $50 per month ($75 per month on tribal lands) for low-income broadband customers. Under the program, eligible broadband providers can opt in to participating in the program, offer the discount to eligible customers, and be reimbursed.
