Another Programmer Goes Direct-to-Consumer

I see a pattern developing here...
As an alternative (or supplement) to working with MVPD's to distribute their content, yet another major programmer is developing it's own paid OTT app. This time, it's Fox News.

Fox Nation is launching on November 27th and will feature original content not found on the linear Fox News Channel.  

 John Finley, senior vice president of development & production, reiterated that Fox Nation will serve as a complement to existing programming on Fox News Channel, and positioned the subscription service as an offering for “superfans.”
Fox Nation hosts include The Five co-host and Watters World host, Jesse Watters; First Thoughts & Final Thoughts host Tomi Lahren; Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Pete Hegseth; and Fox Nation’s Un-PC co-hosts Britt McHenry and Tyrus. -- Fierce Cable, October 25, 2018

The service has been priced at $5.99 a month or $64.99 a year.
